Who is Will?

As you might’ve read earlier, art and design have always been a part of my life. I started taking art classes when I was seven, and I’ve been interested ever since in how visual work can make people feel or think differently.

In college, I started getting more into philosophy, psychology, and design. Those subjects pulled me in because they all dealt with how people experience the world. Like a lot of people, I had a number of realizations during that time, but one that stood out was how much I enjoyed thinking about the way things were made—and how they could be better. I’d catch myself paying attention to small design choices, or noticing when something didn’t take everyone’s experience into account.

Eventually, I realized that this way of thinking was something I naturally did. When I’d talk through ideas with others, I often found myself bringing up perspectives they hadn’t considered. Not to stand out—it’s just how my brain works. I tend to look closely, think through the details, and connect things others might not immediately notice. Over time, I began to understand that not everyone thought that way, and that maybe it was something I could lean into.

That’s when I started focusing more seriously on design. When I found interactive and UX design, it felt like a good fit for how I already thought. Since then, I’ve been working on developing my design instincts, learning new tools, and staying curious. I like the process of breaking things down, working through the logic, and finding ways to make something more thoughtful or useful.
